It is impossible not to mention three species of black bog ants that are post-glacial relics. They build anthills from finely cut peat mosses and put them on top of hillocks. Such light constructions, in case of water level rises, do not submerge, and can even stay afloat.


On the extensive meadows of the Park we can find the wasp spider, which is one of the biggest domestic spiders. It mainly hunts orthoptera and dragonflies. For this purpose its cobweb is additionally strengthened with stronger thread arranged in a zigzag, characteristic of it. On turflands we can come across other big spider called the raft spider, with two characteristic bright stripes along its abdomen.
